Kloude MCP Server

Connect to Kloude infrastructure using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Manage servers, clusters, and resources directly from Claude Desktop or other MCP clients.

Kloude MCP Server

The Kloude MCP Server enables seamless integration between Claude Desktop and your Kloude infrastructure. Using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), you can manage servers, query resources, and execute operations directly through natural language conversations with Claude.

MCP Server URL:

https://mcp.kloude.ir

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol that allows AI assistants like Claude to securely connect to external data sources and tools. By connecting Claude Desktop to the Kloude MCP server, you can:

  • Query your Kloude servers and resources
  • Check cluster status and configurations
  • Manage infrastructure through natural language
  • Automate common operations without leaving your conversation

Prerequisites

Before connecting to the Kloude MCP server, ensure you have:

  1. Claude Desktop installed on your system
  2. A valid Kloude API key (generate one in Settings → API keys)
  3. Access to Claude Desktop's configuration file

API Key Required:

You must have a valid Kloude API key to authenticate with the MCP server. Keep your API key secure and never share it publicly.

Configuration

To connect Claude Desktop to the Kloude MCP server, add the following configuration to your Claude Desktop settings:

Claude Desktop Configuration

{ "mcpServers": { "kloude": { "url": "https://mcp.kloude.ir", "headers": { "X-API-KEY": "{YOUR_API_KEY}" } } } }

Configuration location:

  • macOS: ~/.claude/settings.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
  • Linux: ~/.claude/settings.json

Replace {YOUR_API_KEY} with your actual Kloude API key from the Settings panel.

Claude Code CLI

If you're using the Claude Code CLI, you can connect to the Kloude MCP server directly from the command line:

# Add the Kloude MCP server claude mcp add --transport http kloude https://mcp.kloude.ir --header "X-API-KEY: {api-key}" # Verify the connection claude mcp list

Replace {api-key} with your actual Kloude API key. The CLI will automatically configure the MCP server for you.

Universal Configuration for All AI Agents

The following configuration works universally across all MCP-compatible AI agents including Cursor, Codex, Claude, OpenCode, and other AI development tools:

{ "mcpServers": { "kloude": { "url": "https://mcp.kloude.ir", "headers": { "X-API-KEY": "{YOUR_API_KEY}" } } } }

Replace {YOUR_API_KEY} with your actual Kloude API key from the Settings panel.

Configuration file locations:

  • Cursor IDE:

    • macOS/Linux: ~/.cursor/mcp.json
    • Windows: %APPDATA%\Cursor\mcp.json
  • VS Code (Cody):

    • macOS/Linux: ~/.config/Code/User/settings.json
    • Windows: %APPDATA%\Code\User\settings.json
  • Windsurf:

    • macOS/Linux: ~/.windsurf/mcp_config.json
    • Windows: %APPDATA%\Windsurf\mcp_config.json
  • Other AI Agents: Check your tool's documentation for MCP configuration file location.

Setup Guide

1

Generate API Key

Navigate to Settings → API keys in your Kloude dashboard and create a new API key. Copy the key immediately as it won't be shown again.

2

Locate Configuration File

Find your Claude Desktop configuration file based on your operating system (see paths above). Create the file if it doesn't exist.

3

Add MCP Server Configuration

Open the configuration file in a text editor and add the Kloude MCP server configuration. Replace {YOUR_API_KEY} with your actual API key.

4

Restart Claude Desktop

Close and restart Claude Desktop to load the new MCP server configuration.

5

Verify Connection

Start a new conversation in Claude Desktop and try a simple command like "check my kloude servers list" to verify the connection.

Usage Examples

Once configured, you can interact with your Kloude infrastructure using natural language. Here are some example prompts:

Server Management

PROMPT: check my kloude servers list

Lists all servers in your Kloude account with their current status.

PROMPT: show details of server {server-name}

Displays detailed information about a specific server.

PROMPT: what clusters are running in my kloude account?

Shows all active clusters and their configurations.

Resource Queries

PROMPT: show my disk usage across all servers

Provides an overview of disk utilization.

PROMPT: list all networking resources

Displays VPCs, subnets, and networking configurations.

Available Operations

The Kloude MCP server provides access to the following resources:

  • Servers: List, query, and manage virtual machines
  • Clusters: View and manage Kubernetes clusters
  • Disks: Check storage volumes and usage
  • Networking: Query VPCs, subnets, and firewall rules
  • Monitoring: Access metrics and resource utilization
  • Registry: Query container registry images

Permissions:

MCP server access is subject to the same permissions as your API key. Ensure your API key has the necessary scopes for the operations you want to perform.

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

If Claude Desktop cannot connect to the MCP server:

  1. Verify API Key: Ensure your API key is valid and hasn't expired in Settings
  2. Check Configuration: Confirm the configuration file syntax is correct (valid JSON)
  3. Restart Claude: Fully quit and restart Claude Desktop
  4. Network Access: Ensure https://mcp.kloude.ir is accessible from your network

Authentication Errors

If you receive authentication errors:

  • Confirm the API key in your configuration matches the one from Kloude
  • Check that your API key hasn't been revoked
  • Verify the X-API-KEY header is correctly formatted

No Response from MCP Server

If commands return no results:

  • Ensure you have resources created in your Kloude account
  • Check your API key has the correct permissions
  • Try a simple query like "check my kloude servers list" first

Security Best Practices

API Key Security:

Your API key provides full access to your Kloude account. Follow these security practices:

  • Never commit configuration files with API keys to version control
  • Rotate keys regularly from the Settings panel
  • Use least privilege: Create separate API keys for different use cases
  • Revoke immediately if a key is compromised
  • Store securely: Keep configuration files with appropriate file permissions
